What Happens in a Reading

 

Every reading begins with a meditative process that includes grounding and prayer. From there, you are welcome to share your specific intention or inquiry. What tends to come through includes specific insight, direction, and perspective, along with a felt sense of being deeply seen and understood. Whatever comes through is always offered as something to sit with. Take what resonates, leave what doesn't, and act only in accordance with your own discretion, intuition inner guidance.

Readings typically open with information that confirms attunement to your specific energy, including general patterns, aspects of your life, personality, and journey. From there, things naturally go deeper, often touching on the pain points you carry, long-held beliefs, and patterns that may be influencing your inner experience and outer circumstances.

These readings often go deep, but are non-invasive in nature. What tends to surface reflects where you are open and ready to receive, though every reading is unique and Mariah cannot predict or control what will or won't come through.

What Makes These Readings Unique

 

Mariah's conviction is that the ultimate spiritual authority lives within and is one with you, not outside of you. Her role is that of a bridge, translating and transmitting information between realms and pointing you toward your own intuition and divine presence, rather than becoming an external source you rely on for answers. Part of what she offers in every reading is perspective that supports your own capacity to discern and access your own intuition and divine presence more consciously over time.

Her approach draws on multiple forms of intuitive awareness, including direct knowing, felt sense, and symbolic interpretation. It is also informed by her background in spiritual coaching and non-clinical spiritual counseling. Every reading is custom to the client, and the particular forms of intuitive awareness that come through vary. When appropriate, Mariah also incorporates tarot and/or oracle cards in her approach, interpreting intuitively and in accordance with established meanings. This varies from reading to reading and is only incorporated if the client is comfortable with it.

 

Unlike a traditional medium, Mariah's readings are geared toward you and your journey rather than passed loved ones. Even so, if grief or loss is present in your journey, or a specific message related to a past loved one is meant to come through, a connection with or message from a loved one who has passed may emerge when it is directly relevant. What she holds most close is what these readings point to beyond the information itself. When something surfaces that seems beyond what she could know as a separate individual, it tends to ignite not only a sense of being seen an heard by a higher power, but a felt sense that we are not separate, that we are one with something greater than our individual selves, that we are more connected than the surface of ordinary life suggests. Her mission, in readings and in all of her work, is to directly experience and consciously remember this Truth, and help "others" do the same.​

​About Mariah's Intuitive Work

​

For as far back as she can remember, Mariah has had a conscious intuitive ability that manifested in various, spontaneous ways. A life-long theme of a yearning for inner peace and spiritual fulfillment, coupled with spontaneous spiritual experiences throughout her life, seemed to be connected with this. Her first distinct memory of spiritual experience was specific intuitive information coming through around age four, information she remembers coming true immediately after. What followed over the years was varying experiences and expressions of intuitive ability, including claircognizance (clear knowing) , clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairsentience (clear feeling/sensing), clairaudience (clear hearing), energetic sensitivity and symbolic interpretation (often through colors and patterns related to the aura), predictive dreams, and even an out of body experience while awake.

Mariah grew up in a deeply faith-filled home where spirituality was a part of her everyday life. She continues to place her relationship with the divine at the center of her life and work. Still, she struggled throughout her childhood and adolescence to make sense of her ability in the context of the religion she grew up in, and her framework around it. At 18, a powerful epiphany around forgiveness opened a new chapter, expanding that framework. Weeks later, she met her first spiritual mentor, who helped her begin making sense of her ability in connection with her religious background. Months later, at 19, words began flowing spontaneously during a conversation with someone and her first official reading came through. Informal, private readings followed for over ten years.

In 2020 she received formal certification in Spiritual Counseling (non-clinical) and Mediumship from Delphi University of Spiritual Studies, a respected institution with a long history of spiritual education. She has conducted readings for dozens of people across more than a decade. Today, she incorporates her intuitive abilities into her readings and into her 1:1 spiritual coaching program, The Inner Freedom Shift.
